Hi, as a new fuji owner – traded in my Canon 6d to get a x-t20 & 56mm f1.2 - I’d like to ask for some help and see if my expectations are ‘normal’. Normally I shoot studio and location stuff and with my 6d was getting about 90-95% in focus shots using a 70-200 f4 canon white usm lens – and at f4 (for a lens that is ½ the price) the

Fujifilm XF 56mm F1.2 R WR| ISO 125 | 1/5000 sec | F1.2 Photo: Jordan Drake It's also worth noting that while Fujifilm has made great strides in the AF department, if you want the absolute best AF performance, especially when it comes to tracking subjects, cameras like the Canon EOS R7 and the four-year-old the Sony a6600 still have the X-H2 beat.
Fujifilm's XF 50mm f2 is a compelling alternative to the XF 56mm f1.2 for anyone who wants a short telephoto lens for portraits or details. Most obviously it's comfortably smaller and lighter than the XF 56mm and around half the price too. It has quicker, quieter and much closer focusing, making it preferred for spontaneous shots, movies and
Impressed by Sigma 56mm f1.4 lens. Jul 15, 2022. 13. Well yes I do own the lovely Fuji 56 1.2 and I am keeping that lens. Like the 35 1.4, the Fuji 56 1.2 has a "special rendering" in my view that makes it an exceptional lens. BUT, that is mainly, in my view, when you are working with a model for portraits, and ideally static ones.
Fujinon XF 56mm f1.2 R review The Fujifilm XF 56mm f1.2 R is a fast prime lens for Fujifilm's X-mount cameras that delivers a full-frame equivalent focal length of 84mm; this makes it perfect for short telephoto work including portraiture or simply concentrating on details, while the bright f1.2 focal ratio delivers very shallow depth of field
The XF 56mm f1.2 R APD lens does have its weaknesses. For one, the price is higher than the regular version, and the autofocus isn’t as fast but quite honestly, I just don’t care because I just love what this lens produces at f1.2. Of course, the non-APD version is excellent as well; I actually reviewed it a while back, and loved it.
The bokeh exhibited by the Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R is beautiful and is what sets it apart from so many other lenses. It is creamy, buttery, and smooth. The transitions from sharp to out of focus areas are smooth and extremely pleasing, as seen in many sample images of this review. X-T2 + XF56mmF1.2 R @ 56mm, ISO 250, 1/125, f/1.2.
Fujifilm has recently announced the new and highly anticipated XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR. This lens is an update to the popular 56mm f/1.2 R lens, which has been a favorite of Fujifilm X users since it
